Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Unseg is an iOS app developed by Santiago Panizza ("we", "us"), the data controller for the purposes of this policy. This document explains what data the App handles, where it lives, why, and what your rights are.
The short version: Unseg has no servers of its own. Your alarms and settings are stored on your iPhone. We collect no analytics, we run no advertising, we use no tracking, and we sell data to nobody.
1. Data stored on your device
The following stays on your iPhone and never reaches us:
- Alarms: name, time, days of the week and whether they are enabled.
- Blocking settings: how long apps stay blocked and the app selection (see section 4).
- Onboarding progress, so you don't start over if you close the App.
Uninstalling deletes all of it. You can also delete it from Settings → Delete account inside the App.
2. Your account (Sign in with Apple)
Unseg requires an account, created with Sign in with Apple. We deliberately request the minimum: only the stable identifier Apple assigns to your account. We do not request your name and we do notrequest your email address, so we never receive them. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", that is handled entirely by Apple.
That identifier is stored on your device. A single flag (whether the account already completed onboarding) is also stored in your iCloud key-value store, so you don't repeat onboarding on another iPhone of yours. That is processed by Apple under its own privacy policy and is not readable by us.
3. Permissions the App asks for
- Alarms (AlarmKit) — to schedule alarms that ring even in silent mode. Scheduled locally; nothing leaves the device.
- Screen Time (Family Controls) — to block the apps you choose. See the next section.
We do not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data or calendar. You can revoke any permission at any time from iOS Settings.
4. Screen Time and the apps you block
App blocking uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity).
This is important: we never learn which apps you selected. iOS hands the App an opaque token for each app or category — a meaningless code that can be used to block, but not to identify. There is no API that would let us read app names, and we never see your usage statistics. Those tokens are stored locally on your device, in the app group shared with Unseg's own extensions.
5. Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your card details.
To manage subscription status we use RevenueCat, Inc. as a data processor. RevenueCat receives the App Store purchase receipt, an app-specific user identifier, and basic device and country information, in order to tell the App whether your subscription is active. See the RevenueCat privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
6. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)
- Providing the App (alarms, blocking, settings) — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b).
- Account and access control — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b).
- Managing your subscription — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b).
- Screen Time permission — your explicit consent, given through the iOS system prompt and revocable at any time.
We carry out no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
7. What we do NOT do
- We use no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We show no ads and build no advertising profiles.
- We do not sell or share your personal information — including as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We have never done so.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We use no push notifications and no servers of our own.
8. Security
Data stays inside the App's sandbox and app group, protected by iOS file encryption when the device is locked with a passcode. Since we operate no servers, there is no database of ours that could be breached. Communication with Apple and RevenueCat travels over HTTPS.
9. Retention
Because data lives on your device, it is kept for as long as you keep the App installed. Deleting your account or uninstalling removes it immediately. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat follow their own retention policies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/EEA and UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, Law 25.326 in Argentina and similar laws elsewhere), you have the right to access, rectify, delete and port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Because everything is on your device, you can exercise access and deletion yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account. For anything else, write to santiagopanizza2005@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Argentina, the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública).
We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11. Children
Unseg is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to santiagopanizza2005@gmail.com and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We transfer no data ourselves. Apple and RevenueCat may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
13. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Any material change will be announced inside the App.
